The George girls, photograph 1 of 1

Going through some old files of mine and found this photograph of the George girls, Fannie McMillan George (Scott) b. 1876, Ora Belle George (Ross), b. 1878, and Bessie D. George (Reid) b. 1880, presumably taken in Blooming Grove ca. 1898-1900. These girls were all born in Camden, Alabama and migrated to Blooming Grove with their parents, Captain Lt. Robert Dewilda George (1st Alabama Infantry) and Elizabeth McMillan and their siblings. I authored an article not too long ago about the old George grocery in Blooming Grove that was run by their brother John David George. Here they were aglow in their Sunday finery and I believe it is Fannie seated on the buggy, Ora in the back, and Bessie on the right. Bessie married John Miller Reid, another local proprietor in Blooming Grove's early days.
