Robert B. Grady (1857-1933), son of William David (W.D.) Grady. He was born in Mississippi. Shortly after Robert's birth the family moved to Whiteville, Jefferson County, Arkansas. After the end of the Civil War they relocated again to Navarro County, Texas, where Robert's father, W.D. established himself as a merchant and farmer. Robert married Mamie George in Blooming Grove in 1894. This couple ran a hotel located on Hinckley Street in Blooming Grove where it intersects with South Main Street. The hotel was called the ALAMO HOTEL. When the census was taken in the year 1900, boarders in the Alamo Hotel included James S. Stubbs, Jacob A. Collins, William H. Harris, William Fennell, William S. Knight, F. Cassy, and Dilla A. Wright.
