The Blooming Grove Lions Varsity Football team travels to Palmer tonight for their second district game. Blooming Grove's record is 4-2 on the season and 0-1 in district play, after falling short last week to Maypearl. Palmer won their first district game last week, beating Rice with a score of 36 – 20. They are 4-2 on the season and 1-0 in district play.
The Lions were plagued by injuries last week, with Brody Owens out with a hand injury, Tyler Ellis coming out at the half because of illness and dehydration, and in the 4th quarter Tyler Baumgartner sustained a hip injury. All three injured players are expected to return for tonight's game.
Kickoff is at 7:30 PM. Head on out and support our Lions in their pursuit of a district title this year.
The game will be held at the Palmer Bulldog Stadium, located at 422 W Jefferson Street, Palmer, Texas 75152
